The SR25 is the second model in the Astell&Kern A&norma standard line.

Beginning with the AK70, Astell & Kern's goal was to bring high resolution audio and the Astell&Kern sound to more music lovers.

This goal continued with the successor to the AK70, the A&norma SR15, and now evolves further as the SR25, a premium product that fully embraces Astell & Kern's philosophy and technology, now available to the masses.

AK SR25 保留了以鋁為物料，但機身改為銀色，相對前代的啡色更具時尚感。標誌的左傾螢幕尺寸有少些增加，至 3.6 吋，所以機身也有隨大變大了一圈，不過仍然屬於手掌大小，單手還是可以輕鬆操作。SR25 的電池同為 3,150mAh，但官方表示續航力大升兩倍多，滿電能播放長達 21 小時，是這次升級的最大賣點。

新款的音樂播放器，自然也會有效能上的提升。SR25 的硬件規格雖然同樣是採用四核心處理器、雙 Cirus Logic CS43198 DAC，但支援的檔案類型就擴展至 32bit/384kHz 和硬解 DSD256，更能迎合高解析度音訊檔的流行。同時連接埠也改用了 USB-C，讓使用者可以簡單利用智慧型手機的充電器就可以為 SR25 充電，不需要再刻意準備專屬線材。對於會使用藍牙耳機的朋友，這回 SR25 也加入了 LDAC 的支援，在配合適當的耳機後，就能擺脫線材束縛、享受更高品質的音訊播放。

小編也稍為把玩過這台 SR25，發現變大的螢幕才真的符合時下現代人使用智慧型手機的習慣，看下去也覺得比較舒服。因應機身變大，A&K 也很貼心地在這棱角分明的右下側多削走一角，讓使用者單手持機時不會因為被尖角抵住而不適。機身左側的三鍵播放控制，設計也由圓顆變成長條，以配合更大的機身，同時也更方便按到。

聽感方面，其實因為解碼元件相同，所以聲音特質也是一樣的，是很 A&K 風格的暖和音色；控制力仍有水準，以 Campfire Andromenda 聆聽也不覺得有底噪。音訊同樣支援 3.5mm 單端和 2.5mm 平衡輸出，推力的數字也跟前代相同 2Vrms/4Vrms，都能應付大多耳機了吧。
